Controlled Burn The prequel to The Chameleon (Revealed) and part of the "Randoms Act" Military Thriller Series With an untold fortune to be made by perpetrating fraud on a defense contract, there is plenty of incentive to lie, cheat, and murder. With defense contractors, high ranking military officers, and shadow forces involved the incentive becomes the motive, as they all maneuver themselves to gain power that comes with controlling a cutting-edge program.

To stop the team of rouge agents, the Organization reaches out to an unwitting couple of “Randoms.” Fate and good (or bad) timing being what it is, Carsten and Marcy have little choice but to help the two mysterious men who showed up on their doorstep, offering them a job and a way out of their current plight.

However, the simple, quick turnaround job they were offered suddenly becomes something else: something far more dangerous. Determined to see it through, Carsten and Marcy refuse to walk away; and instead, walk into the Controlled Burn.
