Dark Variant

A hundred years in the future, humans have fled a dying Earth to colonise a distant galaxy. They build vast cities, providing homes for millions and the promise of a new life beneath an alien sky. But when a mysterious cloud appears over the vast city of Trage, thousands fall sick. The healthy flee, telling horrifying stories of people transformed by the sickness.

In the nearby city of Nasser, Kasper makes a living from the streets. Together with his comrades Leon and Alis, they scavenge each day to try to keep their poor community alive. But the cloud is creeping over their city, and deep within its shadow comes something more dangerous than the sickness.

Overnight, Kasper and his comrades are thrown into a fight for their lives. He soon learns that one of them knows more about the threat than they are letting on – and they're hiding a powerful secret. To destroy the cloud and the evil it breeds, Kasper must choose who to trust, and learn that sometimes humans are the worst monsters of all.
