Deadly Voyage

Because the staid world of banking is an uncommon venue for premeditated murder, financial consultant Rick Cunningham accepts the findings of police that the vicious killing of Ocean State Bank’s executive vice president was due to a robbery gone haywire. But when the swollen body of the EVP’s brother washes ashore on a quiet stretch of Boca Raton beachfront, he begins to wonder.

There are few among the bank’s senior officers who agree with Rick’s suspicion that the siblings were the victims of foul play. Not included is Katherine Ainsley, the distraught sister of the deceased brothers, who points an accusatory finger of guilt at Rick’s boss, Ocean State’s president, Big Earl Hartwig. The respected community leader’s motive, she alleges, is to thwart a trust that transfers controlling interest in the bank to her and her two dead brothers.

As the only remaining beneficiary left in Big Earl’s way, she ominously predicts she is next to die!

Because he cares for Katherine, Rick risks his career, even his life by embarking on a secretive, danger-laden search for answers.
