Disarmed

Sgt. Jessie Workings was not interested in taking R&R and was none too happy when his commanding officer insisted that he do just that, along with seeing a psychiatrist to work through some of his combat related fatigue. Nor was he excited about having to face the entire town of West Memphis, Arkansas that would be waiting to congratulate him on his medal of honor. The only person that would bring him any joy would be Mavis, his high school sweetheart and consummate lover. While she was the one that could bring a smile to his face, he was not prepared to give her the one thing that she ever required of him – a steady, loving relationship. Jessie must decide if holding on to the haunting demons that reside within him is worth losing the woman that he loves.
