This story dives into the life of a rocker, revealing that even under the bright lights, the heart's desires often remain hidden in the shadows.
As the journey unfolds, V learns that navigating the world of fame isn't just about the music or the stage—it's also about the heartfelt connections formed along the way, the choices made for love, and the pursuit of true happiness amidst the chaos. The narrative explores the interplay between fame, friendship, and the search for meaning in a life lived inextricably tied to the rhythms of rock and roll.

Alle anzeigenElla Frank and Brooke Blaine are two authors that I know will never have a bad book and I was excited to (finally) read Halo and begin my Fallen Angel journey.I wasn't disappointed. Halo is a story of rebirth and recreation not only for Halo the struggling musician and Viper the well-established bad-boy of dying on their ass band; TBD (To Be Determined.)TBD sums up not only the band that has fallen apart and fallen from the highs that came with being the best in the world; but also Viper’s whole outlook on the world, although the book mainly focuses on Halo, you cannot help but see the breakdown of Viper’s finely tuned wall of protection. Viper has been hurt, you can see that in his every action and the words he utters, and then he is face to face with Halo, the singer with not only the voice of an Angel but the face of one. He can be the saviour of TBD, and Viper but only if they can both see that nothing is impossible. For Halo, the attraction to Viper - to a man? Is so alien to him that he faces a thousand questions and doubts but he can't shake the desire to get close. He's everything the singer wants but also every desire he has is so new, both Ella and Brooke possess an excellent way of writing that showcases Halo’s fears along with his confusion so well. I couldn't put it down.Viper writes 'Hard' a song that is virile and filled with the frustration and desire he has for Halo - it's a dark erotic love song to his Angel and it kick starts a rebirth and reinvention for the members of TBD and Halo. And a new band filled with a fire that had been diminished comes forth.Fallen Angel, named after Halo’s looks and the sins that someone as beautiful as he would never begin to imagine he is capable of, are a massive success. One that is a rock n roll fairytale.Viper and his Angel though? They are both faltering thanks to long-hidden hurt and memories on Viper’s side and he is unwilling to go any further than ’I don't do relationships, I just f*ck - but everyone knows even fallen angels can rise if they find the strength... the conviction to not lose what they want....and Halo wants Viper more than anything; he's a romantic and he will prove it to his addiction that it's worth it all.
