Many of these shipwrecks have been described in my recent book Forgotten Shipwrecks of the Western Cape. This book is a sequel to that book and adds a further thirty shipwrecks which have largely remained forgotten or untold. Again this is a book of intrigue, unsung heroes and man's determination and ability to rescue those who would otherwise have perished. All of this forms part of our seafaring history.
