Head Louse

A study of head lice, covering different types, size and appearance, birth and reproduction, growth, feeding, predators, length of life and movement. It is designed to support children's investigations into life processes at Key Stage 1. Focusing on familiar minibeasts means that children can go into a garden or school grounds to see and research the bugs themselves, so reinforcing learning. Series features include bug maps and simple questions based on information given in the spreads. Each spread builds on information given in the previous one.
