I am so glad I did. It has been a while since a book has consumed my attention that it was hard to put down, and when I did I found myself impatiently waiting for the moment I would pick it up again. Jordan, Yash, and Sam will live in my soul the way Connell and Marianne from Normal People do. They will be thought about the way I still think of Jude St. Frances from A Little Life. Heart the Lover will make me feel and think of the nostalgia and pain, the way from Talking at Night by Claire Daverley still does. What im trying to say, Heart the Lover will be a book that I carry in my soul for a long time and will recommend to anyone who is looking for a novel with deeply rich characters and a story that is full of the things that life is. Love. Nostalgia. Pain. Grief. Healing. Forgiveness. Sometimes the hype around a book is real and this is one of those books.
