His Dark Magic

As drought and a dynasty near their ends, the Sun God's disciples prepare to sacrifice.

He is Ven al-Venu, the Faroah's death-bringer and her life-giver...but he buried his faith beside the lover he failed to save. Now he has forgotten how to give life and only has death to offer.

She is Sesha ne-Hephara, the acolyte assigned to resurrecting the death-bringer's magic...and to die for it when the river floods. She easily tempts him with her body but does not know how to defeat the darkness in his heart.

The rains are coming fast. Will master and apprentice discover a love strong enough to protect them against the dangerous magic of the Calling Back?
