Rezensionen
Rating: 4 stars.“You were born on the longest night of the year.” His fingers again stroked down my back. Lower. “You were meant to be at my side from the very beginning.”That’s such a good way to put it. This book really does feel like a pause for breath after the chaos and intensity of ACOWAR. It’s softer, quieter, and almost domestic in its focus, like sitting by a fire with a blanket and tea while the world outside is still smoldering. The cozy vibes really shine through, from the character interactions to the slice-of-life moments, and it feels like a necessary little reset before diving into the emotional storm of ACOSF. It’s not about battles or high stakes, it’s about warmth, healing, and finding a bit of peace.“I love you,” he breathed. “More than life, more than my territory, more than my crown.”This book gave me everything I didn’t know I needed. Feyre and Rhys? PERFECTION. I swear I could read about them being domestic and playful forever, and the snowball fight had me giggling like an idiot. Mor’s POV destroyed me though, she deserves so much happiness, and I just want her story to finally come full circle.Cassian… oh my god, Cassian. Seeing what he went through hurt in ways I wasn’t ready for. Azriel, of course, remains the brooding mystery boy, dropping little crumbs that have me feral for his future book.Amren’s solstice gift moment? ICONIC. I love that scary little menace and seeing her genuinely happy was so funny and adorable. Elain finally finding joy again made me smile so hard, and her interactions with Az were precious. But then there’s Nesta… girl. She really tested my patience here. She acted like she was carrying all the trauma of the war on her own, and while I wanted to scream at her, part of me also wanted to crawl into the book and drag her into a hug.“I will never stop being grateful to have you in my life, either, Feyre darling. And no matter what lies ahead"--a small, joyous smile at that--"we will face it together. Enjoy every moment of it together.”This wasn’t heavy or action-packed like the others, but that’s what made it so special. It felt like a warm breath between battles, and I ate up every cozy, emotional, messy little moment.“This book feels like a quiet exhale after the storm, warm fires, found family, and the soft ache of healing old scars.”⋆.˚☁️⋆ I’m excited to dive into this novella because I know it’s going to give me those cozy, slice-of-life vibes with the Inner Circle that I’ve been craving. But at the same time, I’m keeping my expectations in check, I don’t see this being a 5 star, life-changing read for me. I’m just here for the comfort, the Winter Solstice atmosphere, and a chance to spend more time with these characters I love. If it delivers that, I’ll be happy. The Vibes? Cozy vibes with magic.
Oh ACOTAR, how great you are at breaking reading slumps. reread - July 2025, still a 5 star read
The lightness of it was necessary for my heart after the last 3 A bit worried about Nesta still
