In the Beaver Moon

Two Moons has just been inducted into the Cheyenne Dog Man society of the Kit Foxes. He is sad to leave Grandfather but he takes his place among the other young men of his tribe. When the soldiers murder Grandfather, Two Moons is left to bury him and strike out on the prairie to make his way alone. Who will the Great Spirit send to guide him through these times? We watch him take this journey with Young Man, Crazy Horse, and Man Afraid.
We follow Two Moons as he walks his path from his youth to becoming a leader of a dog man society to his manhood. We see his loves and losses and his interaction with leaders and warriors of other tribes. This is not a tale about noble savages but a story of one race in their everyday life, trying to preserve their way of life against greater odds.
