Beschreibung

Christopher comes from a lineage of hockey legends, a family whose name resonates through the NHL, echoing with historic milestones and unforgettable moments on the ice. He carries the weight of expectations on his shoulders, determined to carve out his own identity while honoring the legacy of those who came before him. Amidst the thrill of games and the pressure to succeed, he finds himself at a crossroads, questioning what it truly means to pursue his passion.

Just as he contemplates his future, fate introduces him to her—a woman who captivates him with her spirit and resilience. Their connection transcends the world of hockey, drawing them into a whirlwind of emotions that neither expected nor fully understands. As they explore their bond, Christopher discovers that life isn’t just about the trophies and accolades but also about the people who fill it with depth and meaning.

Navigating the complexities of his career alongside a burgeoning romance presents challenges, forcing Christopher to confront both his personal ambitions and the tender vulnerabilities that come with love. Doubts creep in, and the pressures of public scrutiny loom large, pushing him to question whether he can balance the demands of being a sports icon with the quiet joys of a blossoming relationship.

Ultimately, Christopher’s journey is about more than just hockey; it is a heartfelt exploration of love, self-discovery, and the choice to embrace a future intertwined with someone who makes him feel whole. The stakes are high, but so too are the rewards, as he learns what it truly means to be meant for someone special.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Meant for Her delivered a beautiful and passionate romance between a widow and a hockey player who is a member of a famous NHL family. This story of loss, grief, healing, and rediscovering love will appeal to readers looking for an emotional read.Natasha Madison definitely knocked this one out of the park. This book was everything I hoped for and more. Meant for Her is the second book in the Meant For series. Although this is a spinoff from the author's This Is series, Meant for Her serves well as a standalone read.Tragedy strikes at the beginning of the novel. Dakota, the heroine, lost her husband to a drug overdose. Immediately, I felt for her and her two girls. Discovering that her husband wasn't whom she thought made the situation even more heartbreaking. Especially with her trying to protect the children from the truth.I raise my hat to Dakota. Despite suffering so much pain and loss, she stayed strong through it all. Her fears, anger, grief and guilt resonated with me. I cried along with her each time she learned something devastating about her husband. It made me happy to see her overcome all these in return for a chance at happiness.Christopher's pain was just as palpable throughout the story. Recognizing that he never really knew the man he considered a friend broke his heart. The disturbing revelations evoked feelings of guilt, especially when Dakota blamed him.I admired his persistence in providing support to Dakota and her girls, even in the face of her rejection. Dakota pushed him away so often, but he never gave up. Eventually, they became close, and soon they began to develop feelings for each other. Their romance developed nicely. Sweet, spicy and completely delightful. Although, it was not without obstacles. His relationship with the girls was so adorable. The way he took up the role as a substitute father, giving the girls the love and support they needed.Meant for Her reaffirmed my belief in second chances. A second chance at happiness and love after experiencing a devastating loss.  Fans of romance should not miss this one. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading
