A most readable and clear survey of the New Testament. The theology is understandable and treated with thoroughness in this concise, but complete study. Zola’s view is fresh, as always. The four-fold ministry of Christ—as the Messiah, the Lord’s Servant, the Son of Man, and the Son of God—is brought to bear on thief and times of Christians today. The development of Christian doctrine, as explained in the epistles of Paul, Peter, James, John, and Jude, is discussed in the light of Christ’s teachings.
The result is a good framework for understanding the New Testament, done in a highly readable style. Anyone who's Bible knowledge is sketchy, and who wants to fit bits and pieces of Scripture into the overall New Testament picture, will find this book welcome and enjoyable experience.
