Beschreibung
Penfield’s posters for Harper’s magazine in the 1890s depicted smartly dressed young Americans in a variety of fashionable pursuits—cruising aboard a steamship, bicycling in the countryside, attending a Harvard-Yale football game, bathing at the seashore—and more. Here are 24 of the most memorable of those images—two for each month of the year. Introduction. Notes. 24 full-color postcards.
