Caroline comes from money (old money - not new money darling). Daddy gives her an allowance, and pays for her apartment in the city. In return, she is expected to attend the occasional family function at her parents' country estate.

She hates having to attend, but doesn't want to risk losing her allowance. After one particularly tedious event, she takes her anger out on the poor unsuspecting driver who is taking her back to her apartment.
