RETRIBUTION

Love is never easy, especially as a closeted lesbian in a successful career. It's even more difficult if you're a closeted lesbian with a penchant for murder. Detective Sergeant Kira Lang meets Molly Treacher at a high-end lesbian club in downtown Cleveland, and the two women fall for each other. It seems like a match made in heaven until Kira is asked to investigate a murder with possible personal connections.
The victim was a father and husband. Witnesses say he had physically abused his wife and child while dining out in a restaurant. With the appearance of the FBI on the scene, the murder turns into something much bigger. The senior agent, Truscott, later plants the seeds of doubt in Lang's mind when he tells her that Treacher may be a suspect in the death. Truscott, it seems, has been on Treacher's tail for a long time and his extensive knowledge of her life and crimes may sway Lang's opinion.
If her new love is only murdering assholes who deserve it, is Lang ready to sacrifice her deepening love for Treacher or serve justice.
