Meet Ruth, a childless widow who partially blames herself for her dead husband's transgressions. She prays daily for a family, but with her past known in the city, Ruth struggles to find a good Christian suitor. When all hopes seems lost, her sister comes up with a solution, however it does mean Ruth would have to leave her previous life behind.
Ruth risks it all and after exchanging a few letters, she travels to Red Rock to marry Brent, a widowed rancher with a young son. Straight away, right as she steps off the train, her ideas about the relationship are tested. But having travelled so far and hoping to have the family she had always dreamed of Ruth is ready to take a leap of faith.
However it turns out the West and an adopted son aren't quite what she thought they would be. She might have helped her sister with her five children, but suddenly dealing with a stubborn boy daily isn't all Ruth had imagined.
Can Brent and Ruth overcome the issues from their past relationships? Can they form a new loving family together? Follow Ruth as she tries to find her way in this new world through hard work and faith.
