It's spring break in Hunter Bay, NC, and five college friends have come to let loose, enjoy the sun and make it a vacation they'll never forget. While enjoying a seafood lunch, they take one of the locals up on a suspiciously cheap pontoon rental. But when they depart from the dock, they are blissfully unaware of the terror already happening out at sea...

The Perfection , a research vessel owned by the mysterious Driscoll Laboratories, has been attacked. Nothing but blood and bones remain of the crew. And the ancient, hybrid terror that's responsible still lurks in the waters nearby, waiting for its next meal with an unmatched, bestial instinct.
