Beschreibung

Simon Spier is a typical sixteen-year-old navigating the trials of high school while harboring a secret that weighs heavily on his heart. Balancing friendships, academics, and the pressures of adolescent life, Simon would rather focus on the upcoming school musical than confront the complexities of his sexuality. He has spent countless hours exchanging emails with an anonymous classmate, a relationship that unexpectedly deepens his sense of longing and self-discovery.

When Simon’s secret is jeopardized, he finds himself facing challenges that push him out of the shadows and into a whirlwind of emotions. As he grapples with the pressure to come out, he also navigates the complexities of friendship, identity, and the fear of not fitting in. Each interaction brings Simon closer to understanding his true self—complete with all its intricacies and absurdities.

As the school year progresses, Simon’s journey unfolds, filled with humorous moments and poignant realizations. The relationships he holds dear begin to shift as he contemplates where he stands in a world that seems both welcoming and daunting. The path to acceptance, both from others and himself, is messy yet profoundly transformative.

Ultimately, Simon’s story is a celebration of love, friendship, and the universal quest for belonging. Blending laughter and heartfelt moments, it captures the essence of growing up in a world that can sometimes feel isolating. Through his experiences, Simon learns that being true to himself may be the greatest act of courage he could ever undertake.

“People really are like house with vast rooms and tiny windows. And maybe it's a good thing, the way we never stop surprising each other.”Que monez de libro me ha gustado mucho aunque me ha faltado mas momentos entre Simon y Blue y lo que me ha pasado con este libro que me he tirado todo el libro pensando que Blue era una persona y resultó ser otra y creo que me gustó eso porque asi me sorprendí y ojala más momentos de ellos porque tan monos!! ♥ Y bueno todos sus amigos y todas las referencias que van haciendo a todo A+++

I can’t put into words how magical this book is. I normally can’t stand when women write about gay characters, but this book was perfect.
