The Black & Blue Ball: The Wellsley Vitaux Club

Jovan Wellsley built Wellsley Township and the Wellsley Vitaux Club for one reason: so people like him could feel free to be themselves. Deep in the heart of 1880s Washington Territory, the people live and thrive. Their way.

Awkward Konner Halsey left Chicago under the threat of blackmail. Now he’s in the most bizarre town he’s ever seen. Men openly flirt with him and women walk around in jeans with guns on their hips. When the people of Wellsley Township show him it’s okay to be him: out, proud, and wearing petticoats, Konner thinks he’s found heaven. And all he has to do is what he was hired to do—make suits and gowns for the Wellsley Vitaux Club’s annual Black & Blue Ball.

As the time gets close to the ball, everything he’s beginning to think he can’t live without is threatened when once again, he’s blackmailed. He has to leave town or face the complete destruction of his reputation. Konner packs up and prepares to leave quietly, not one to make a fuss. Only Jovan doesn’t want him to leave and has plans to make sure he stays… by taking care of the blackmailer in the Wellsley way.
