Beschreibung
An Arnold Landon mystery novel.
When Arnold Landon of the Depart¬ment of Museums and Antiquities discovers an important forgery, a local politician invites him to join a secret society inspired by the fourteenth-century Knights Templar. Soon after Landon declines the invitation, the politician is found murdered, and Landon is drawn into a web of medi¬eval intrigue and modern corruption.
As Police Inspector John Culpeper pur¬sues one likely murder suspect, Landon and his friend Jane Wilson piece together clues from historical documents that describe the Knights Templar as "soldiers of Christ" and guardians of a fabled treasure. Their re¬search leads them to the Scottish border, where the ruins of a secluded chapel could hold the key to the killer's identity and motive - as well as mortal danger for any-one who attempts to uncover the centuries ¬old secrets of the site.
