⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5/5 but goodreads won't let me do half stars... Boooo) Jasmine Mas really said, "What if medieval fantasy... but with modern tech?" and somehow made it work perfectly. I loved how completely different this story felt from both Cruel Shifterverse and Villains of Lore (adored how completely unhinged the fmc's were). The animal companion absolutely stole the show. His commentary had me cackling the entire time and he's a solid 10/10. And the MMC? That man is a deranged, psychotic walking red flag, and unfortunately that's exactly why I loved him. Jasmine has a gift for making me root for characters who should probably be locked up, and I'm not mad about it.
