I had really wanted to enjoy this book. While it wasn’t inherently bad, it also wasn’t great. There were several times where I skimmed the content to move on to the next scene. I found myself mentally correcting the writing, as well.Maybe it’s just because it’s a contemporary romance, instead of a fantasy romance that I tend to gravitate to currently. I’m not interested in reading the rest of the series right now, though.
