The Man Within

Having lost the battle for leadership of his party, Charles Forsyth now held the post as Secretary of State for Trade and Industry. When he hatched a plan to bring down the Prime Minister. His arrogance and deluded belief in his own abilities, caused him to fail to understand the danger he could unleash on the whole Middle East and the threat this would pose to Britain and its allies. Unwittingly drawn into this is one man, ‘Tod Walters’, a quiet lorry driver who, having lost his wife to cancer three years earlier, was trying to bring up two young daughters by agency work covering for driver sickness or shortfalls.
When, as part of Forsyth’s plan, his lorry is hijacked. He is unaware that a personal vendetta would drag him to the depths of despair. Wrongly accused of involvement, he is remanded in Prison where his cellmate forces him to accept that since his wife’s death, he had been hiding from reality. With the help of fate, a Prison Officer and a Detective, he is quickly released, to find he is unwittingly caught up in a trail of deceit, fraud, theft and political conspiracy.
While others try and prevent the hijacked missile guidance systems, from reaching Hezbollah and threatening the Middle East. For the conspirators, the unwanted publicity regarding ‘Tods’ arrest and the sudden demise of one of their number, leads to a face-to-face confrontation where Tod sets out to clear his name. Through it all, he finds a love he thought could never happen, allowing him to finally let go of the ghosts of the past.
