The whole concept, the characters, all the different relationship dynamics, the entire wild journey it takes you on…. It was all fantastic and very thought-provoking. Just how much would you risk if you thought someone was your only chance at real true love? How much would you overlook? I like that the book digs into how this discovery has completely changed the trajectory of traditional dating/marriage/divorce/sexual relationships both positively and negatively and confronted any of the real life ramifications you can think of with someone like this. I love that it took time to really flesh out the science behind it, too. Chapters alternate between all 5 character’s POV. There wasn’t a single storyline I wasn’t invested in and I never anticipated all the twists and turns as each “love story” unfolded. Some of it was a little outlandish and there was some hard/gruesome parts to read but it worked for this story. This is a book I’ll be thinking about for awhile!

It was fun to see the different characters and how their matches changed them. This book was a little slow but the ending really tied it all together and brought a new perspective to the whole thing.

Just about everyone raves about this book and I definitely wanted to read it before watching the Netflix series. I’m glad I did. The story lines are great, easy to follow, even with it having so many characters. It’s an interesting premise and well written and fairly fast paced. Highly recommend!
