Artist Book. Brazilian-born, London based artist Tonico Lemos Auad creats work with a very light touch. His mediums are intensely spaghetti-thin gold chain necklaces, colored jewels, bananas, and carpet lint. By drawing on the floor with a cascading pool of chain, or placing nearly invisible gemstones in circles, L shapes, and diagonal lines on an otherwise blank white wall, the artist engages the viewers eye in formal exercises as well as encourages a closer reading of the work.
