Trunk Music

Having watched the Bosch series up through the end of Legacy, I am reading all Connelly’s books in order.  Trunk Music did not start off that exciting for me, but once Bosch got to Vegas, met up with his former flame, and found himself in the sort of predicament that he typically does, it picked up.  At the half-point mark is where the suspense kicked in.   In this book we are introduced to Lt. Billets, and having watched the t.v. series, I knew her character well.  I remember liking her in the show and noticing she had much respect from her troops.  The book is no exception!  I did a quick google search to see if Lt. Billets appears in future book, and she does!  I can’t wait to read about her career development.  Despite having watched the TV series, this book was full of surprises and twists.  I did not see the ending coming- and a big surprise as to Bosch's love life unfolded.  Overall, this book was an easy read and quite enjoyable.
