Two years ago beautiful, innocent Maggie Carleton watched in horror as her father killed her mother. She told the police what happened, then never spoke again. Not one word. Even after she was forced to move to Lawton, Alabama, to live with her uncle, she kept her emotions and her fractured heart hidden away.
Now, after everything that's happened, West finally decides he needs to talk to someone about his dad. So in the dark shadows of a post-game party, he tells the one girl who can’t speak everything he couldn’t tell anyone else. She's safe; she won’t reveal how weak and broken he sounded. But he hadn’t been prepared for her to reply. Hadn't been prepared for her to reveal a pain even deeper than his. Hadn't been prepared for them to form a connection that would become so strong he wouldn’t be able to let her go....

Alle anzeigenPros: - definitely drew me in - I didn't want to put it down - Maggie & West were both well constructed characters that you grew to love - it was set in high school and they actually went to class.Cons: - didn't feel like there was really a climax. I kept wondering where the poop was....couldn't find it - one of the few "blow ups" lasted all of two chapters
