R, a member of the Dead, doesn't know how long he hasn't been Living. All he knows are his monotonous everyday routines, remembering nothing from his previous life. He eats, rides the escalators of the airport, and tries (on occasion), to put together the pieces of his old life.
Until one day, during a feeding frenzy, he meets Julie, a member of the Living. Something unexplainable begins to change in R, but he cannot even express how he feels, let alone understand it.
