The story seemed fake (of course it is about fantasy, but you know what I mean). She seemed to keep skipping from third-person omniscient to first-person. Near the end of the book, the author seemed to get more of a hold on what she was doing. Of course, I did love that Pike told a story that was not told before. It was a whole new story and a new take on Faeries that I had not heard before. At times, her description was wonderful and as if I could see and sense what she was describing. Other times it seemed overdone and adolescent. I wouldn't read it again; however, maybe the rest of the books in the series will be worth a read, just to see where Pike goes with it.
I thought this book was really good! I was reading other people's reviews and saw that a lot of them didn't like it .... well anyways I really liked it and can't wait to read the next one !!!!!
