With Open Arms

With Candace and Heath’s wedding fast approaching, Anabelle Scott decides to make a beautiful double-ring quilt as their gift. Planning and buying fabric serves as a good distraction from meddling in the lives of her children—particularly in her son Evan’s, who recently began dating a woman with children. Anabelle prays for guidance as she comes to terms with what it means to be a family and accepts her own family’s future with open arms.
Meanwhile, Candace Crenshaw and Heath Carlson are in the home-stretch. Are Heath’s jittery nerves normal or do they signify something else? Elena Rodriguez thinks her son Rafael doth protest too much when it comes to his feelings for his ex-girlfriend Sarah. The situation is bound to get complicated now that Sarah may be dating someone new. When James Bell is hospitalized with a terrible infection, the Bell household falls into disarray. James’s friends end up rallying to get his harried family back on track.
At the hospital, the new chaplain often speaks to the incredible power of prayer, and now Anabelle’s patient firmly believes that if she prays hard enough, she will be healed. How can Anabelle show the woman that the answers aren’t always that simple? That God works in wondrous ways we don’t always understand?
