Feel the sun, see the footprints of the birds
It is the story of teenage illegal residents who risk their lives in search of friendship (Abdul), music (Ceslav), and freedom (Rosalia). It is also a calm record of how teenagers who are too weak to be adults are exposed to violence from a warped world. Based on a true story, this work does not show the humorous humor that is commonly found in youth novels, nor the romance that excites readers.
Since 1997, the world has been in Afghanistan, the Middle East and South Africa. Deborah Ellis, an international human rights peace activist who narrates the stories of those who suffer in the midst of the world, follows the journey of three children who have lost their families and homeland and are forced to become illegal residents.
