Reseñas
Me perdí un poco en la trama porque no se mucho sobre la mitología griega pero me gustó mucho y me entretuve mucho. La historia me parece llena de vida y linda.

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller is a historical fantasy novel inspired by Greek mythology, particularly the story of Achilles and the Trojan War. The novel is narrated by Patroclus, who tells the story of his life, his friendship with Achilles, and their journey during one of the most famous wars in Greek mythology.
What makes the book especially interesting is the way Miller brings ancient Greek mythology to life. The characters are written with great depth, and Achilles is shown not simply as a legendary warrior but as a person with ambitions, fears, and emotions. Patroclus also develops significantly throughout the story, making the reader feel connected to his experiences.
The descriptions of ancient Greece, the training of warriors, and the events surrounding the Trojan War create a vivid atmosphere. Miller's writing is beautiful and often poetic, although some parts of the novel can feel slow because of the detailed descriptions.
One of the strongest aspects of the book is its emotional storytelling. It explores themes such as friendship, loyalty, honour, fate, and the consequences of war. The ending is particularly powerful and leaves a lasting impression on the reader.
Overall, The Song of Achilles is a beautifully written and emotionally engaging retelling of Greek mythology. I would recommend it to readers who enjoy mythology, historical fiction, and character-driven stories. Rating: 4.5/5.
Excellent retelling of the Iliad. If you've read the iliad/ Odyssey you will enjoy this even more.
Devastating yet so beautiful, 10/10 will cry again for sure if i read this again omg
4/5 ⭐: Pensé que iba a llorar pero en verdad no fue así, me encantó, solo siento que el final necesitaba un poco más de dramatismo para mí, los amo, mis papás.
4⭐️?I don't now how to feel about this book, like I can understand what people say about this book. but I think because it's so overhyped that it let me down a little and that I had to high expectations. the ending was I did cried, but on the other hand it felt rushed te last 50/30 pages it could be in more details. all with all I really enjoyed the book, for now I give the book 4 ⭐️ but it can change i don't now for sure.
it was well written and beautiful. we see how the characters grow and their bond. it honestly pulled me out of a slump. Patricolas was my favorite character for some reason. Achilles honestly was how I expected him to be as well.
The Song of Achilles - Madeline MillerPhysical/Audiobook⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I picked this book because of the hype around it and having previously read Circe. I went in expecting heartbreak, but it turned out to be was a beautiful tragic story. The writing felt immersive and rich, which made reading it easy to read and escape into. The plot was complex and strong, and overall it worked perfectly for the story being told and the world the book as set in.The characters were very memorable, and they carried the story. The ending was absolutely beautiful, leaving me in tears. Overall, this book felt like a true tragedy in the best way. I’d recommend it to readers who enjoy Greek retellings or LGBTQIA+ represented stories.
Lectura prescindible.
Maybe im just in burnout and am struggling to feel anything but this was a let downEveryone said it made them sob and it was so goodBummer
This might be one of my favourite books ever. What a beautiful story.I didn’t cry, but I felt everything — the sadness, the anger, the grief. This isn’t a story about war; it’s about the people who suffer because of it. It’s about those forgotten in history, the ones who fought but were never celebrated. It’s about love — what it can give, and what it can take away. It’s about ego, and what it means to be mortal in a world ruled by gods. Every part of this story felt alive and real to me.And the writing? Easily some of the finest I’ve read. Poetic without being pretentious, emotional without being manipulative. Just… excellent. One of the best books I’ve read so far.
My first greek inspired book. Tears were shed. I loved everything about it! Book of the month for sure! 💙
