About sixty years ago, the Chinese Expeditionary forces composed of a hundred thousand soldiers were defeated in the battle around Nujiang River, and the fierce battle cost almost fifty thousand soldiers' lives. Since then Hukawng Valley, filled with corpses, was called the habitat of devil by the locals and it became quite formidable to outsiders. However, in the next year of the battle, under a top-secret directive, a special unit of the new 38th army, was asked to carry on a mission in the savage mountain with unquestioned loyalty and absolute obedience. What were they looking for in the deserted mountains? How did the lifelike jungle attract them and swallow them? The closer they approach to the end of the mission, the more shocking they found about the truth.
