This was an improvement on Edge of Sin. It was paced better and Gia, while still annoying, felt more flushed out as a character. The audacity of her though to be pissed about those pictures and then do what she was about to don in retaliation was an absolute joke and I'm glad Enzo didn't just forgive that right away and made her pay for it. He still protected her which is what you do for the people you love but he didn't make it easy for her to gain his trust back. The fact that she went after him with her family said more about her feelings than she has in both books combined and that in itself was her best redemption in my opinion. I liked that Gias dad actually said he respected Enzo enough to be with Gia. You can tell that actually meant something to him, even if he would never admit that out loud. I do wish the confrontation between Enzo and Marco was on page and not the aftermath when Gia shows up. I also think his apology to Sammy should have been on page too. Other than those few niggles, I did overall prefer this book to the first.
