But the story doesn’t end even there. The narrative then boomerangs back through centuries and space, returning by the same route, in reverse, to its starting point. Along the way, Mitchell reveals how his disparate characters connect, how their fates intertwine, and how their souls drift across time like clouds across the sky.
As wild as a videogame, as mysterious as a Zen koan, Cloud Atlas is an unforgettable tour de force that, like its incomparable author, has transcended its cult classic status to become a worldwide phenomenon.

Reseñas
Ver todoA collection of stories spread out over different generations of strangers, that are all somehow intertwined. Some characters are more likeable and some stories are better than the others (I was most drawn to Sonmi and Frobisher), but they are cleverly linked so it's enjoyable overall. It is a long read, however and I began to run out of steam in the last couple of hours for the audiobook (25 and a half hours listening time...), so at that point was happy when I'd finished. It's worth bearing in mind there are some problematic parts e.g. I think the language used was to reflect the opinions and terms of that time-period. There's also a bit of white saviourism, so it's not a perfect book.
