Cornfabulation

This gorgeous artist's book project documents the eponymous
collaborative exhibition between Aaron Curry and Richard Hawkins at
David Kordansky Gallery in 2011. Brian Roettinger s book design is a
true highlight the unique smyth-sewn volume has eight page-folded
signatures showing detail shots on the external pages, with a perforatedfinish
top and a flush-cut open bottom that reveals full images of works
and installation views in shades of lime green, chartreuse and shocking
purple. Reveling in critical juxtapositions Curry s sculptures offer
evocative reworkings of biomorphic imagery of the mid-century avantgarde;
Hawkins s collages, paintings and installations focus on voyeurism
and the male form both artists draw from high and low culture with
