Descripción
Immanuel Kant was a German philosopher and is a pivotal figure in modern philosophy.
Kant attempted to resolve the disparity between empirical and rationalist approaches. The empirical approach asserts that all knowledge comes through experience. The rationalist approach asserts that reason and innate ideas are prior.
Kant argument was that experience is purely subjective without first being processed by pure reason but also argued that using reason without applying it to experience only leads to theoretical illusions.
The Collection
• Critique of Pure Reason
• Critique of Practical Reason
• The Critique of Judgement
