I think this is the first time I have met a bear shifter parent group that is terrible. I feel for Bjorn so much. All the BS he has to deal with with his mother and his fathers are doing absolutely nothing to protect their birth son and letting their mate treasure their adopted son while their biological son is forced to not only sit by and watch his mate be with a complete ass but also clean up after that brother when he inevitably messes up.And it just gets worse the longer Bjorn's mother is on page. She lies to the community to make her adopted son look like man who lost his fated mate and her bio son into a man who would take a woman that wasn't his.I wish it was Bjorn's POV when he was facing off with his mother but I also understand why it was Hawk's instead, considering his preference for his sleuth over the family he had been born into until he was able to find his half brother and gain a better life.And I did enjoy that Maddie's mother finally came around and ended up helping her at the end. That was a nice touch and I was glad they at least had someone.
