Descripción

Dune Messiah continues the story of Paul Atreides, better known--and feared--as the man christened Muad'Dib. As Emperor of the Known Universe, he possesses more power than a single man was ever meant to wield. Worshipped as a religious icon by the fanatical Fremens, Paul faces the enmity of the political houses he displaced when he assumed the throne--and a conspiracy conducted within his own sphere of influence.

And even as House Atreides begins to crumble around him from the machinations of his enemies, the true threat to Paul comes to his lover, Chani, and the unborn heir to his family's dynasty...

book 1 being so good must have been a fluke :(

I enjoyed reading "Dune Messiah." It takes place twelve years after the events of the first book and follows the transformation of Paul, who has become the emperor. He has matured significantly and is almost unrecognizable compared to his previous self. This sequel completely shifts the tone set in the first book and delves into profound discussions about religion, laws, and the burdens that come with wielding power. The book explores these themes in a captivating manner, drawing the reader into a world of political intrigue. The ending of the book took me by complete surprise and left me feeling shocked. The intricate plotting and the way the story unfolded kept me engaged from start to finish. I can't wait to continue with the series.
