Fifty Shades of Grey: I enjoyed this book as a whole but I have some issues. Mainly the utter lack of communication. I don't like Anas judgment on the way Christian has lived his life. BDSM is a perfectly normal thing between consenting adults. I also don't think Christian understands that other people don't live the way he does so should be more accepting of Anas resistance but my major issue is the fact Ana asks for how hard punishment can be and does NOT safe word. Despite knowing that is something you do when it becomes too much and the whole thing where she said she wanted to see if she could take it. People in the BDSM world build up a tolerance and the fact that she did that and then blamed him shows that both of them had complete lack of communication.Fifty Shades Darker: I liked the plot of this but some issues I had were Christians lack of care for Ana when it came to Leila in her apartment. Christians lack of understanding when it comes to Anas distaste when it comes to Elena. I think Christians mom acted far too harshly to Christian when it came out about Elena. I didn't like how Christians dad undermined him in front of everyone in regards to a prenup. I did kind of feel like Christian could have been nicer to Ana with the situation with Jack in her office she went through something traumatic and it kind of felt like he made it about himself. Overall it was a good read though.Fifty Shades Freed: I also do not understand Anas not willing to ask for help when Christians sister gets kidnapped. She knew she was pregnant and went into a dangerous situation without a plan or any way of getting help, not what a normal person would do. Finally Christians reaction to Ana being pregnant was ridiculous but also Ana knew it was a defective shot she could have taken him to the doctor and had the doctor explain it to him or even his mother so he had actual facts so he wouldn't overreact that situation was a total lack of communication on both sides. Doesn't explain Christians reaction but could have been alleviated. Overall it was a good read.
