The spiritual harvests of the Holy Land have been rich beyond comparison, and the labourers have been numerous beyond count. But what astonishes one most in that wonderful land is what remains in it over and above, that has not been gathered into the gamer. The gleanings of it are more abundant than the Whole harvests of other lands. Every reaper seems, like the young men of Boaz in the fields of Bethlehem, to let fall some of the handfuls on purpose for the benefit of his successor. I have been gleaning even among the sheaves, and I trust that for what I have stored up in this form I shall not be reproached.
