Last Orders

Twenty-six years ago, Sophie Garrett stepped out into the Millennium crowds and vanished.

Now a body is unearthed on the old Cambridge Hotel staged, recent, and wearing a bracelet engraved with Sophie’s initials.

DI Alex Thorne recognises it instantly. He also knows what he didn’t put in his statement in 1999. And he knows someone else remembers too.

As the investigation closes in, a tight circle of friends is dragged back to the final hours of that night, and to the moment Sophie met Marcus Webb alone.

Told across December 2025 and New Year’s Day 2000, Last Orders is a British crime novel about coercive control, buried evidence, and the damage done by the people who chose to stay quiet.
