Le Robert Micro: Dictionnaire De La Langue Française: 2007 Edition

The Robert Micro, completely revised in 2016, is far more than a typical dictionary. The definitions are for the most part surprisingly comprehensible, even for someone at a basic to intermediate level. If the understanding of the word is still fuzzy after reading the definition, there are frequently many phrases using the word that are enormously helpful in further sharpening one's understanding. Then, throw in several synonyms and antonyms and all of the sudden you are approaching real understanding of what the word means and how it is used in French! If that were not enough, there are frequently references to other word entries of similar shades of meaning to further enhance understanding. If you are serious about improving your French, whether a novice or expert of the language, this is the best of the all-French dictionaries.
