I feel like I love the idea of these books, but in the end they don't really hold the appeal throughout the book, but the concepts are really imaginative, 3/5 stars. I would reccommend the audio book because the performance was amazing :)

3.5. stars I wanted so bad to this gave this book an higher rating because it did surprise me that I enjoyed it a lot at the beginning but it tripped at the finish line. This book started off so strong with it being so freaking funny ,witty, and very clever but then it start tumbling at the middle and it was flat on it's ass at the end. It all honestly, this book would have been so better without Edward because his chapters become the weak link for me towards the middle and end. He went from being a such an interesting character to being straight out annoying. Especially when it come to him getting a love interest and it almost felt like insta-love. I could have done with just Jane and G because they grew as characters and their relationship was very interesting. But I was so fed up with Edward antics that when G finally professed his love for her, I was ready to be done with it.I also didn't understand why he just didn't tell her that he was a poetry since she was into books. He was more afraid of her finding out that he was a poet than her thinking he have a rep with ladies. I also got tried of the narrator butting into the story because they honesty start to take away from the story.. I understand that this supposed to be almost like Monty Python and Mel Brooks (who I love so much) so right off the bat it didn't supposed to be taken seriously but it started to be become overkill and not funny. Also the only fantasy element it had was that people can turn into animals so I don't understand why it's labeled as fantasy. It also was never explained why they get turn into animals which supposed to be the equal of protestants. So It still going to be on my fave book list of 2016 but I wish I could have enjoyed it more at the end like I did in the beginning.
