Descripción
Nepeta Falaise had spent her life with her father and her dog, Caliban, on a lonely island. Her aunt, who has decided that it was time Nepeta received a modern education, comes to the island to do battle with the father, but on arrival, learns of his death. Nepeta's first term at school in England begins badly, and many troubles ensue through her dislike of discipline after her life of freedom on the island. There are many thrilling moments in this enjoyable story, which is told in the easy and intimate style of all Mary Gervaise's books.
