Descripción

In a small town where the male population is dwindling, Dako has long accepted her solitary status. With a shortage of eligible bachelors, she feels as if she has been sidelined in the game of love, watching from the sidelines as others forge connections and find romance. As the community buzzes with discussions about the peculiar phenomenon of local men disappearing, Dako's thoughts drift to her own hopes and dreams, which have taken a backseat to the reality of her everyday life.

However, when an unexpected twist presents itself, Dako has a choice to make. Embracing the thrill of chance, she steps into the arena of opportunity, determined to take control of her destiny. With her heart set on a fresh start, she navigates the complexities of relationships and risk, all while grappling with her long-held fears. The stakes have never felt higher, and the possibilities are endless, beckoning her toward unforeseen adventures.

As romance blossoms amidst the challenges, Dako discovers much more than she bargained for. The journey becomes not only about finding love but also about rediscovering herself, confronting the realities of her past, and learning to embrace the chaos of life. Each turn pushes her closer to the kind of happiness she once thought was reserved for others, reminding her that sometimes, taking a leap of faith is the most rewarding game of all.

This is book 4 in Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series, I will admit I have read many of these out of order. I'm trying to catch up on ones that I have missed, this being one. Dakota Hendrix has always been the more responsible of the Hendrix triplets, but she has secrets that she's finally willing to share with her family.Finn Anderssen has raised his younger brothers after their parents died tragically in a plane crash. He feels responsible for them, and when they both drop out of college with only one semester left to join a reality television show he shows up to Fool's Gold to talk some sense into them. I give this book 3.5 stars, there was a time or two when I wanted the writer to get on with it but overall I enjoyed the book and the known characters of Fool's Gold.
