DaidoMoriyama's primal subject was in Shinjuku, but then he accidentally struck into a street snapshot the he took at Ikebukuro while he was walking around the city, ignited the passion to shoot more of this town….starting at West Ikebukuro where he was living for the past 10 years. The scent of the streets of Shinjuku and Ikebukuro are not the same, even in a smilar Terminal Station which locates at the center of both. The heatwave and the impact steaming up from the people residing deep inside the town. This is Daido Moriyama's Ikebukuro Street Vision that he spent 1 year to accomplish.Daidō Moriyama (Moriyama Daidō, born October 10, 1938) is a Japanese photographer noted for his images depicting the breakdown of traditional values in post-war Japan.Born in Ikeda, Osaka, Daidō Moriyama studied photography under Takeji Iwamiya before moving to Tokyo in 1961 to work as an assistant to Eikoh Hosoe.
