Ver todoI really wanted to like this more than what I did. Character development in the beginning was lacking, in my opinion. It picked up apx at the half way point. I liked some of the symbolism and messages within.
A pleasant surprise!
I enjoy everything about this book. We have a strong female mc in a dystopian world full of human eating demons and she fight them using a magical sword. Everything feels magical despite it being in a dystopian setting. Bonus, romance is not the focus!
Overall, an enjoyable read.
Highly recommended!
Ok I'm back to write more about this book. Someone described this book to me and I thought it was a comedy or dark comedy of sorts. It was not. It was mostly like a history lesson to me with a dash of drama and action. And English is not my first language so some dialogue was difficult for me to understand (Some written was in accent... Heavy accent). However as I said before I enjoyed the fighting scenes they were enjoyable enough for me to actually see them in my head like an anime show.
