Descripción

The catalyst of this book is my best friend, a Woody Allenesque character who is never quite satisfied with his lot in life even though it is actually great. Aware of the vaporous quality of happiness, the key tenets of this approach is to keep it simple, enjoy now and don't think too much - the British way to happiness! It all started when my train broke down on the way down from London to Hastings for six hours. With the train stopped still in the English countryside, I pondered yet another bout of my friend being down, so I thought I'd write down a few pointers for him, which turned into a torrent of ideas on how to lead a happy life. About myself, aged 32, I run a small coffee company in London that imports and roast rare coffees. I have no experience in writing books, have never read a self-help book, but have been pretty happy these last three decades and these thoughts are my philosophies on how to live a happy life. Showing these notes to my graphic designer flatmate, Tara, she inspired me to make it into a little book and, so, here it a Londoner's humorous take on self-help with the help of Tara's fantastic illustrations.
